A Prayer for Christmas Eve

O Heavenly Father, you gladden our hearts in the yearly festival of the birth of your one and only Son, Jesus. On this blessed night when you became a man to redeem us, we marvel at your love. We, who joyfully kneel at the manger and rejoice with the shepherds, ask that throughout the year you continue to instill in us the same devotion we feel today. Keep us strong in our dedication to the newborn King. We ask this in his name. Amen.
