Houston, We Have A (Potential) Problem

In my kitchen I have a lovely fragrance of hand soap that I love so much. I first came across it when my sister-in-law gave it to my mother-in-law as a little happy. It’s by Williams-Sonoma, and the fragrance is Olive Oil. Now before you get your panties in a wad, it does not smell like Rachael Ray’s EVOO. This is a light, clean fragrance that is fabulous. As I was washing my hands with it this afternoon, I thought, “You know, all my bloggy friends should have the pleasure of smelling this. I should write a blog about it.” Now, honestly, you know it has to be good if I actually take the time to write a blog about it.

Anyhoo, I sat down to write my blog entry about my delightful Olive Oil hand soap. I looked on the Williams-Sonoma website to be sure I got the description just right, and to download the picture so that you, my bloggy friends, will know exactly what you are looking when you print out a copy of my blog and run down to your local Williams-Sonoma and ask the saleslady where they keep the hand soap that looks just like the one in the picture you are holding. And what did I find, I ask you? Every fragrance of hand soap available under the sun God created…EXCEPT my beloved Olive Oil. Oh, dear. This could be a real problem. I’m kind of getting itchy just thinking about the mere possibility that they could have discontinued it. Surely they just don’t carry it online, instead saving it for the most loyal customers who actually take the time to visit their lovely store, right? Somebody please tell me I’m right! I’m going to have to go down to Williams-Sonoma first thing in the morning and see what I can find out. I’ll let you know, because I know you are on the edge of your seat about it as much as I am.

In the meantime, the last time I was there I almost picked up a bottle of their almost-as-lovely Pink Grapefruit fragrance.  It was also a light, airy, clean fragrance that almost convinced me to add a bottle to my purchase. But in the end, I stayed true to my hand soap roots. And now I’m a nervous wreck! Am I going to have to switch? Does my hand soap future look more like this?
