Caribbean Fruit Salsa

I love sharing my recipes with all of you here on The Hill Hangout. I will be honest, however. One of the main reasons I post recipes here is so that I can keep up with recipes for myself. This space is my online cookbook. So the other day I was having trouble finding recipes I wrote for Boomama’s DipTacular back in 2009. I realized that because of the way I had them posted, you’d never be able to locate them unless you know where to look. So this week, I will re-post them in a more proper format so that you (and I) can find them more easily. Look for a new dip recipe every day. First up, my Caribbean Fruit Salsa.

I adore a good dip, but the typical creamy dip adds a ton of fat and calories to a meal. My Caribbean Fruit Salsa is a great way to add flavor, while keeping your dish healthy. Serve it as a dip for tortilla chips or as a topping for fresh grilled fish. (As a side note, to make grilling fish easier I use a fish grilling basket like the one linked here.) Either way, you’ll have a colorful, healthy, and delicious addition to your meal.
