Sleeping Beauty and Groovy Girl had a big time around the neighborhood last night. They’d both been a little under-the-weather, so we decided to take it easy this year. We walked around our street and visited with our neighbors. Halloween seems to be the best time to meet new neighbors! There have been a couple of new additions to the neighborhood over the last year, and it was great to chat with them a bit. The girls’ favorite was our neighbor Miss Susan who decorates for Halloween like some people decorate for Christmas, all the way down to the “boo tree”. She fully decorates a Christmas tree with colored lights and packs it full of Halloween ornaments. And when she reached into her special bag (not the regular candy bucket) and pulled out Pez dispensers for the girls, I thought they were going to move in with her right then.
