For the Love of Turquoise

I really love the color turquoise in a home – when it’s done well. I’ve seen some really questionable uses of it, too. But when it’s used properly, it makes my heart beat faster.

Most of these photos are of rooms that absloutely would NOT work for our busy family with small children, but they are lovely to see. Like this dining room…

Normally I am a clutter-clearing FREAK, but this room definitely looks so beautifully busy!

I love this pop of turquoise in an otherwise very neutral room. How fabulous is this!!

This gorgeous formal living room from House of Turquoise mixes turquoise with sunshine yellow to create a vibrant room. Love the mix of turq and yellow!

I think I could be so creative in an office space like this. The mixture of the turq walls with the collage of vintage images and the uber-feminine accessories makes my heart go pitter pat.

Turquoise isn’t just for a sophisticated, formal room. What a fun nursery this is! The white accents really balance the bright walls and other pops of color. This nursery would make me smile everytime I walked in!

Do you have a love affair with turquoise, too?
