Before and After

I found a few minutes this afternoon to play with the editing software that came with my camera.  I have been rather overwhelmed by the learning curve that comes with mastering the software. However, as I fiddled with it this afternoon, I don’t think it will be as difficult as I feared.
Here are a few before and after photos. Let me know what you think!

  1. You brightened the colors! I think you did a great job and are definitely on the right track. Way to go!

Wow! Very Nice. I have been playing around a lot with my PSE. I had it for 6 months before I decided to learn it. I use a lot of actions now-and I love them!

  3. I think it looks great. I started experimenting too with my Canon Powershot a1100is. My little silver camera is the best thing to have happened to this Granny Nanny when it comes to photos. Now, like you, I have to learn the editing. I have been working with iPhoto and it ain't easy. I'll enjoy watching you, along with Sweet Shot Tuesday, and gaining ideas too. 🙂 Have a blessed week.

Yeah photographing kids can be a real challenge. Thank goodness for photo editing software right? Here's a few tips that may help:
    1) Know about about the rule of thirds and composition in general, but don't be afraid to experiment.
    2) Learn about the exposure triangle and how to use it to your advantage. This is important to know you want to get more creative. http://digital-photography-school.com/learning-exposure-in-digital-photography
    3) If your photo editing software supports it, shoot in raw mode instead of jpeg. You will have much more post processing flexibility with raw images.

  5. My favorite picture is the one of the "goodies" and the following one of Patterson!! So cute and the colors really pop!! Doing great!!
