Mary Anneliese asked me the other day if there had ever been a person who was blind and deaf, which led to an interesting discussion about Helen Keller. She was intrigued, so we went to the library and checked out a book about her. Today I came across this movie footage (click here to see the footage) of Helen and a lady I assume to be Anne Sullivan. It is remarkable indeed. One day soon we will take a field trip to Ivy Green, her childhood home in Tuscumbia, Alabama.
